The Long March of Pop

“An original and insightful new history of Pop Art from one of the most important art historians of our time.”
Art and Fashion book designers +Subtract invited me to collaborate on the design of this new publication.
We explored several design themes to find the right balance between the playfulness associated with Pop Art and the academic nature of the content. I developed initial visual treatments, for cover and inlay options.
A thoroughly enjoyable project to work on, we’ve been amazed at the positive feedback received about the design of this unique book.
+Subtract did an amazing job of refining and carrying the chosen treatment through the 400+ pages together with such elegance!
